The Transfer Place is a small North Carolina company located near Charlotte. The founder, Howard Boyle, started the company after having several old reels of film transferred to a DVD. Disappointed with the image quality and the lack of style that this Internet-transfer house provided, he believed that he could do better job. With new state-of-the-art equipment and software and his attention to detail, he reauthored the DVD with sound and also improved the image quality greatly. This experience encouraged him to found The Transfer Place, a place where memories will be lovingly and thoughtfully preserved. After spending many years in medical imaging, Howard is now spending his time with The Transfer Place preserving old memories from film, videotape, slides, and snapshots for this generation and those to come.
